Stolen Instruments

Randy Kohrs had several of his and the band's instruments stolen after playing at the "Musicians Against Childhood Cancer" festival last weeknd near Colombus Ohio. Here is a link to a message in the Bluegrass Blog about the stolen instruments. http://www.thebluegrassblog.com/tag/randy-kohrs

Keep an eye out for any of these on Craing's list, ebay, flea markets etc.. Most of these instruments are pretty distinctive. Contact authorities at once. Let's bring these bad actors to justice and get Randy's instruments back!!

Come up to Lake Ontario just east of Rochester NY for the Ontario Barn Festival on Sept 5. This is our 3rd annual and it is about great bluegrass and roots music, family fun, raising awareness about solar energy, arts & crafts, free ice cream and face painting for the kids. Great event that includes great PA edge-bluegrass bands like York's Waitin on a Train.

Bill Emerson and Sweet Dixie will be here this Sat night. Local standout Tom Adams is the guitar player and lead vocalist for the group. You may remember Tom as a multi award winning banjo player of the year before having to forsake the banjo because of a mysterious ailment in the hand and wrist area known as dystonia. Tom has switched over to guitar and not missed a beat. I think that all who attend will enjoy a first rate and exciting band. Bill Emerson is also a banjo legend, starting as one of the original Country Gentlemen and also starting the US Navy Bluegrass Band.
Come on out to Spry and enjoy a great show.
